Solitaire

•    Solitaire – a small hamlet and remote oasis and features a fuel station, bakery, café and general dealer. The land was bought by Willem Christoffel van Coller in 1848. Named Solitaire by his wife Elsie Sophia. Solitaire can mean a single set diamond or mean solitude or loneliness. He constructed the shop and install the first petrol pump.

•    DR Church – this chapel was constructed by WC van Coller. It was completed in 1951 and is still in use by the local congregation and a community meeting place.
