• South African Scottish Memorial, Ridge Rd, just off St Andrews Rd - It commemorates the service of South African soldiers of Scottish origin during the Great War. Designed by William Tait Connor and sculpted by Arthur Taylor. Originally located in King George St in Joubert Park. Unveiled on 1 April 1923 by HRH Prince Arthur of Connaught, Governor-General of the Union of South Africa. It was moved to this site in 1994
