Beauvais/Tracey’s Folly, (also known as Mountain View) 11A Grace Rd – First named Beauvais. Designed and constructed by Allen Wilson. Built in 1907 for the mining magnate Perceval White Tracey. During the building of his house he regularly driving his car over bad dirt tracks, and the car often broke down, pulled by oxen. His family called it “Tracey’s Folly”. They lived there for 10 years. In 1917 the old Parktown School used the house until 1957. Two years later it was taken over by AECI until 1999. In 2008 it became the head office of Cargo Carriers
The outside buidings originally consist of the coach house and stables.
