Bethulie

Established on 4 March 1863 and named Heidelberg. It was renamed after the nearby mission station in 1872 to avoid confusion with two other towns named Heidelberg.
Dutch Reformed Church
​Dutch Reformed Church, Grey St – this church was completed on 20 March 1886. It is surrounded by a cast-iron fence. Declared a National monument on 27 December 1985
Concentration Camp Cemetery
Concentration Camp Cemetery – this cemetery contains the mortal remains of 1737 women and children who died during the Anglo Boer War (1899-1902) in the concentration camp of Bethulie. The cemetery was designed by J du Toit. It was inaugurated on 10 October 1966 by the then State president. It was declared a National monument on 30th May 1985.
Railway Station
Railway Station – the station was in use since 1894. The woman and children were offloaded from the train trucks during the ABW and had to walk 4km to the concentration camp.
