Named after Brixton in South London by Horace Collins, Secretary of Auckland Park real Estate, and General Manager of the Paarl Central Gold Mining company.

143 Fulham Road – This wood and iron cottage was built as a house-shop in 1904. This was a prefabricated building.
Hindu Crematorium
Hindu Crematorium, cnr Brixton and Caroline St. This was an old wood- burning crematorium.
Brixton Cemetery
Brixton Cemetery, between Caroline and Barton St, Laid out in 1912. It contains graves of Randlords George Albu and Lionel Phillips. Also, the two husbands and son murdered by Daisy De Melker and Samual “Taffy” Long who was wrongly executed in the 1922 Miners’ Stike.
